In a major collaboration between the Curtis Institute of Music and the China Conservatory of Music, Curtis welcomes the Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra for a three-day residency highlighting musical and cultural exchange. Through lectures, demonstrations, and workshops with the Curtis community, the FCCO shares their renowned expertise on traditional and modern Chinese music, while engaging with emerging leaders of Western music.

The FCCO joins Curtis students in a public performance on Tuesday, February 23 at 8:00 p.m. in Gould Rehearsal Hall, located inside Lenfest Hall. The program-with side-by-side performances by faculty pianist Meng-Chieh Liu, a Curtis student string quartet, and the FCCO-includes Gao Weijie's Three Songs of Yuan Qu and Curtis faculty member David Ludwig's with the lilies, and the song, and the stars, as well as traditional Chinese works.

Limited seating available. No reservations required. Seating is first-come, first-served.
This performance will be streamed live at Curtis Performs, the online stage for the Curtis Institute of Music. http://curtisperforms.curtis.edu/
