Seattle Symphony music director Ludovic Morlot debuts with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in a concert of groundbreaking works. Busoni's solemn Berceuse élégiaque is followed by Berio's Sinfonia, a dizzying collage of sounds and styles presented with singers from the Curtis Opera Theatre. Mahler's First Symphony, the "Titan," provides a heroic conclusion.
