Aizuri Quartet

The Aizuri Quartet is string quartet in residence at the Curtis Institute of Music. Its members have studied at Curtis and the Juilliard School; and have participated in the Marlboro and Caramoor festivals as well as the Ravinia Festival's Steans Music Institute, where they were quartet in residence in 2014. The quartet was a finalist in the 2014 Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition. The Aizuri Quartet's members are Miho Saegusa, violin; Zoë Martin-Doike, violin ('13); Ayane Kozasa, viola ('12); and Karen Ouzounian, cello.

The young musicians of the Curtis Institute of Music explore the unique and multifaceted role of guitar in contemporary classical music, with a program that includes pieces by Paul Lansky and Steve Mackey, a Curtis composer-in-residence. A versatile ensemble, Curtis 20/21 has been lauded for their “passionate performances” (New York Times) in Miller Theatre’s Composer Portraits and Bach, Revisited series, as well as previous Pop-Up Concerts.

Be ready to sing, clap and move to Stravinsky's version of this Russian folk tale. Family Concerts are best enjoyed by children ages five to twelve.
