The beautiful Iolanta lives a peaceful, protected life, unaware that she is a princess-and that she is blind. Love blooms when a knight discovers her secret garden and shares the wonders of color and light. For the first time Iolanta yearns to see, opening the door to a miraculous cure in Tchaikovsky's melodious fairy tale.

Concert performance with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra, sung in Russian with English supertitles.

Following his cycle of the complete piano sonatas of Franz Schubert, noted pianist and faculty member Meng-Chieh Liu ('93) embarks on a traversal of the complete piano works of Johannes Brahms.

Mr. Liu's two all-Brahms programs at Curtis take place on Friday, October 10 and Sunday, October 12, both at 8:00pm in Field Concert Hall.
Both recitals are general admission, no tickets required.
