The Curtis Institute of Music attracts the world’s finest young musicians from around the globe and nurtures their gifts through frequent performances, guided by a distinguished faculty of active performers. Curtis offers full-tuition scholarships to all of its 165 students. While endowment income provides 70 percent of Curtis’s operating budget, the rest comes from individuals like you.
The Curtis Crescendo Club was launched in 2009 to energize the school’s fan base and build support among a younger generation of classical music lovers in Philadelphia. Each year the Crescendo Club organizes a wide variety of events around Curtis orchestra, opera, and chamber music performances. Each event is a wonderful opportunity to explore classical music “behind the scenes” and to learn about Curtis—a cultural gem in Philadelphia and a world-renowned conservatory. Crescendo Club members are active in giving and raising funds to support the school.
